Never give up

This shot was taken in Venkatagiri hills. My first tough trek where I was hardly able to give up and coz of encouragement I overcome the tiredness and conquered two hills! Never give up. You could see our CTCians below the hill marching towards it!

Almighty!

Up above 900M, where the clouds are under your feet and the wind can easily blew 25kgs and here our man stands in a cliff with wind blowing out heavily! You could see his t-shirt waving on other side, literally pushing him!

Serenity

This was taken in Nagalapuram. This is CTC’s lunch spot whenever they trek to 300M water fall or to the caves. This is an amazing place to stand under the fall and enjoy the beauty/water

Huddle

Shot taken in Tada! Thanks to my friend Samyak who is an excellent photographer pointed this out to shoot it. It was not so easy to capture these butterflies. They are so sensitive and by the way we walk, they feel the vibration from the earth and move off quickly. Me and Sam were lying opposite side and waiting these things to settle down.

Duck walk

Thanks for Sunita and Anu. Their car got a flat tire and I was able to get down of the road to take these ducks walking on the road!

Monalisa from Portugal

This is my best shot! I like the smile and the scarf, the color of the dress and the lighting. All these favored me to take this pic! But the main factor was my dear friend Maria :) She is a smiling beauty and very good friend from Portugal. Many more of her pictures to come :)

Kick ‘em out!

Second shot was taken in Nagala and it was a candid shot. Look the guy who is kicked is in the air. Both the shots, the timing were the factor. Many more timing shots are coming. Thanks to Ravi for lending his camera to flick this shot!

Fly high

Timing, this is very important in any photography and plays a massive role in candid pictures. The first shot was Peter standing upright and Guru flying over him.

The monk who sold his Ferrari

The picture is shot at Tirupathi and the model is my French friend Jean. He shaved his head in Tirupathi and was posing to someone else on the other side for a picture. I was amused with the light playing on his face and flicked this candid. One of my divine shot :)

One of my favorite shot of my very good friend. I never realized her to take a portrait of her and in very recent times I was asking her to wear the typical saree like dress (pavadae thaavani) to take a picture with Indian essence of homeliness. I felt that very recent. This shot was taken on the way to Tirupathi. She was climbing up on the stairs and I was taking this shot from top angle :) Thanks Bambi!

Taking portraits is an interesting factor. And making them with a theme is more interesting. The reason I like portrait is it is all about people photography according to me J This shot was taken in Nagala on the same location and same model from different angle. I like the hair , running water (slow shutter experiments) and leaves in the frame and the model is relaxing (cooling down)

This picture was taken during the Nagala trek with CTC. Many question me why I still use the S3 IS. The answer I give is this amazing macro shots. And the super macro mode is simply awesome. I love and enjoy taking macro shots once in a while and feel the output is best always when compared to others. I struck with this fly because I was able to get my lens just 3 to 4 cms near to it.

Lying beauty

This was taken in during the Nagala trek with Chennai Trekking Club. The model was my co-trekker. The summer sun was too hot and she wished to cool her head off! The pose was quiet candid, but I felt the face to be turned on other way facing her left hand. I felt the pose like a beauty just lying herself and being herself! Thanks for being my subject Maya!

The models here are Bhagath and Karthik. This was taken outside a temple in Salem on our visit to Yercaud. The theme was to highlight their forehead where they have the typical Hindhu "Kungum". We framed it under the neon street lamp and the output came well. Taken in Nikom D300. No flash.

This was taken by Bhagath and processed by karthik and myself. The idea was to take a couple shot in this and since it was not working out, we decided to stay single :P and composed it. It was taken from top of a sumo vehicle and the idea was to make it as a cinema preview poster. Thanks to SS for the catchy caption! The theme is about the subject thinking about his life with a gal (always?) Taken in Nikom D300 with SB600 on the right for extra flash.

iStruck – What is this iStruck? Struck – Something which strikes me and I – I captured that moment! In simple words I struck the moment and captured it

OK. Already I have 2 blog and what is the reason behind this blog? I have to thank 2 persons here who are the reasons behind my blog. Both are my dear ones! First is Charu. She is the only person who insisted me plenty of times to start a photo blog and recently my mind started to think that it is such a nice idea to start up with the photo blog. Second is Rajaram. Because of him, I got the iStruck here :) Thank you guys. So nice of you all! Follow me and comment/critic on my pictures :)
